The Life of Adam and Eve, (also known in its Greek version as the Apocalypse of Moses), is a significant Jewish apocryphal writing that tells in colourful detail the fate of Adam and Eve after their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. It provides more detail about the Fall of Man, in which Satan explains that he rebelled when God commanded him to bow down to Adam. Along with its teaching about penitence and atonement for sin, it expresses a clear belief in the resurrection of the dead to a future life. It also recounts the words of Adam and Eve to their children, as they face their approaching deaths. The Life of Adam and Eve was translated by R.H. Charles and published in 1913 as part of “The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament".
