Guided Nervous System Reset Fight or Flight can feel like: anxious overwhelmed hyper-alert urgent irritable tightness, tension, heat Fight or flight happens when your nervous system senses threat and brings a surge of energy online to protect you. This isn’t a failure or something to fix—it’s your body doing its best to keep you safe. In this short, guided practice, we’ll gently help your nervous system turn down through 3 main steps: 1) DISCHARGE: moving some of the excess adrenaline and survival energy through the body so that it doesn't get "stuck" and keep you heightened 2) CONTAINMENT: using pressure and movement to activate deep sensory receptors that signal safety, support, and bodily limits 3) DOWN REGULATION: using breath to signal that the threat has passed and it’s safe to settle. This is a voice-only, trauma-informed guided practice led by a licensed therapist trained in Polyvagal Theory.
