Making A Stitching Pony In the depths of a freezing UK winter, I’d like to have something to keep my hands busy while indoors… no, stop it… don’t go there (are your minds always in the gutter?). Last Christmas I asked for some basic leather working tools, and this winter I'm finally getting round to trying them out. One bit of kit that’s seemingly essential is a stitching pony. I could have bought one for not a lot of money, but I thought this would be a good excuse to use up some scraps that I’ve got lying about in the workshop. The total cost of this build was close to nothing. All the wood is offcuts from other projects, the bar I got from the works skip and the adjustment knob I found in the office car park… and serendipidously it’s the same thread size as my bar.
