Recycled ink & toner cartridge company announces green video, featuring eco activists at InkCycle

According to Brad Roderick, executive vice president of InkCycle, All of our people are aware of what we are trying to create from a green standpoint. Ill give you an example. Our director of supply chain management, Chad Seal, hes got four kids so during the Christmas season he kept all of his packaging, outer box material, and kept it sorted so that one: he could recycle it. But he wanted to weigh it. He wanted to see how many pounds of Christmas wrap, plastic packaging, of cardboard corrugated material that he was getting before he recycled it because he wanted also to take the practice home to his kids and get them thinking about whats going on at landfills but also from a consumer standpoint of how many things are we buying? Some of our people are involved in different green organizations here. As an example Jerry Hartenbower who is one of our toner engineers; he works with Bridging The Gap, here, locally. My name is Jerry Hartenbower, Im a trainer for the toner department at Ink Cycle. Ive been here about 12 years all together. During the training part of what we do, we help people understand how important it is for us to look for ways to create areas of sustainability on our planet. With the Grenk products that we use, we recycle the paper, we have biodegradable bags that we use for the Grenk products. From the ink side, we filter all the water that comes out of the inkjet cartridges. The water that comes out the other end of that is almost clean enough to drink. Outside of here I speak for a company called Bridging the Gap teaching people how to create a more sustainable planet for us to live on. We talk about lighting, we talk about recycling, we talk about keeping our areas clean of trash. Theres not a single defining moment for me theres been a series of them, its kind of a journey or an evolutionary process. Some of those moments have really become heightened because of having kids. Having traveled to other countries that dont have some of the same controls and legislations that we enjoy here in the US and looking and seeing what theyve done with their environment over a short period of time left unchecked. And while I do believe that its the job of government to help out in that I think that its incumbent upon us as individuals to protect whether its our ground, our airs, or for me the waterways, Im a big fisherman. And Ive seen different rivers and streams that have been good and theyve become terrible, terrible, terrible. Individuals have gotten together to clean those up and to return them to pristine habitat, and I think thats the responsibility of all of us and its one that I want to take seriously and I want to instill upon my children to take that same thing seriously.
