House Takes Stand Against Exploitation of Ugandans in UAE
Parliament has tasked ministry of gender, Labour and social development, ministry of internal affairs and others to generate and implement bi-literal labor agreements that curb exploitation of Ugandan migrant workers especially in UAE and other countries. This follows a disturbing investigative report by the BBC which showed Ugandan girls who lost their lives through sexual exploitations and sex trade in Dubai. Legislators attribute this to the high rates of unemployment among the youth.
