Postmenopausal Uterine Calcification || Ultrasound || Case 227 Clinical Features: A 73 years old postmenopausal female came for a routine sonographic examination. Ultrasound Features: Tiny echogenic foci casting acoustic shadows are noted at the peripheral part of the myometrium of a retroverted uterus. Remember: Diffuse myometrial calcification in postmenopausal women goes in favour of arcuate arterial calcification whereas focal calcification goes in favour of calcific degeneration of fibroid.
