via NATO This is the Afghan National Army in action. Today, they are demonstrating the value of their new armored vehicles supplied by the US, which are also known as Armored Security Vehicles. This is at the Kabul Military training centre where Afghan instructors conduct training for the National Army to help grow their capability. In today's training the soldiers are learning how to use their armored vehicles to fight the Taliban. Fellow soldiers pretending to be the Taliban start to move up a dry riverbed. The Afghan infantry forces wait for the right moment before the tanks move to engage from above the hill. As the battle continues, infantry soldiers dismount and assault the Taliban with the support of the tanks firing from above the hill. After defeating the Taliban the soldiers search for suicide jackets and IDs. With this mission complete the soldiers move on to practice their skills fighting with the vehicles in open ground. Footage includes soldiers marching and firing in the range, ASV vehicles on the road, Afghan Trainer describing the ambush plan to Afghan soldiers, Taliban Cars, soldiers sitting in ambush and armored vehicles, soldiers firing and running down the hill, soldiers searching the dead Taliban, soldiers and tanks in battle with Taliban and Afghanistan National Army and ISAF mentors during training.
