In this video I explain my approach how I have developed my method to practice the chapter "one-bar phrases" from the great jazz-drumming book "The art of bop drumming" by John Riley. There are so many phrases on this page and, for me, practicing in the way I explain in my video is more fun to me....... You can use these phrases as one-bar (jazz-) drum fills or if you put four phrases / bars together you can play trading 4´s or even (of yourse) a drum solo.
