Welcome to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UMC Children's Hospital. We congratulate you on the birth of your baby and offer our sincerest compassion concerning the problems that have brought your newborn baby to our unit for intensive medical attention.  UMC was awarded the NICU Level IV Designation, the highest designation for NICUs in Texas. Therefore, we provide the highest level of care to our neonatal patients. UMC's NICU facilities include a 41-bed Level IV Nursery, both neonatal ground and air transport teams, pre-discharge "Rooming In" services, and infant CPR training. Physicians are available in the hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This is the benefit of being associated with the Texas Tech University Health Science Center. From AngleEye Health, a web-based camera system that allows families to see and interact with their baby in the NICU anywhere, on any device, to having access to almost every pediatric specialist, parents can be assured that your baby is in good hands.
