What is Pakistan’s most famous dish? We started asking around and we kept getting the same answer: Biryani! So, almost 2,000km from the home of Karachi’s biryani, tucked high up on a mountain top, the backcountry cooks are brewing up a huge pot of chicken biryani! Join us in Fairy Meadows, as we meet local tourists from Karachi and Lahore, take a beautiful hike to see Nanga Parbat, and (of course) eat biryani! The Hunza Valley is a big local tourist destination. Some universities in Lahore and Karachi send groups of students on school trips to Fairy Meadows for team building and to celebrate together. We were lucky enough to meet so many nice university students on this trip. Our kids had a great time hanging out with everyone, playing frisbee, and exploring. They even found tadpoles!
