Marty Dread the Maui reggae ambassador is a friend to Lonomusic. I donʻt really play this type of music so may I am crazy huh Kelly boy, hehehe. Anyway, I met Marty years ago brought to me by Rachel La Russo. She liked him and I did also. He stirred up the crowd immediately as soon as the Bass player Kaipo Halealkala kicked in. I covered 4 of Martyʻs songs cause it got ppl on the dance floor. He has great character and very friendly to LM. In honor of our friendship I bring this song of his into our work here. Now, the 2nd part of this song has to do with something Andy Bumatai always expresses on his channel. Take of your slippers when you come into the house, which is a metaphor for leave all your pilikia outside the door, no bring your troubles here. Most Hawaiian homes have that same rule here in the islands, not all, but most. Marty never wore any footwear and 1 girl here on Molokai (Palin) does not wear any foot wear here.
