Homestead Renovation | Viega Manabloc Water System

This week we installed the Viega Manabloc water system throughout the entire house, except for the kitchen, which we'll be doing later once we have the kitchen design pinned down. Install was as simple as it gets and I feel safer using a system that allows the home-run style piping because who wants to be crawling around the crawl space later...not me!! Soon enough we'll have the plywood down for the flooring, but not before insulation, vapor barrier, termite treatment, and gas lines. Our house is supplied with propane, so we'll be utilizing that for our hot water heater, gas fireplace, and gas oven. As we continue on this homesteading journey, we're realizing the value in saving material for later use. I can't tell you how many times we've been able to reuse material, including the old wood from the house. We were able to build each and every one of our garden beds with wood from the house...and we're thankful for the food those beds are starting to provide. So far, we've been eating a bunch of salads, but we're looking forward to much, much more. Kentucky has long summers, so we should get a couple of harvests each year. #homestead #viega #pexpipe
