Its speed, stability, reliability, and portability have made it the primary choice of kayak for big western reservoirs, the Columbia River, Puget Sound, San Diego Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately it was recently discontinued from the Sportsmans lineup of kayaks but lives on as the Ocean Kayak Malibu PDL. Recently the Malibu PDL kayak lineup was updated with several new color schemes. While checking out the new colors I noticed several changes had been made to the Malibu and that in fact there was significant redesign and improvement of the Malibu plus a significant price drop.
