The resignation of Vietnamese President Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and the potential ramifications for U.S. business interests, the upcoming election in Thailand in light of illiberal forces challenging the autocratic military regime, and the rise of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as well as the upcoming elections in Indonesia and its possible parallels to the recent elections in the Philippines, were among the topics discussed.
