When you think about Duke basketball legends, names like Christian Laettner and Grant Hill probably come to mind first. But there's another Blue Devil who carved out an impressive path through college basketball and into a solid NBA career: Danny Ferry. Ferry emerged as one of the most complete players in college basketball history during his tenure at Duke University from 1985-1989. Standing 6'10" with exceptional court vision and shooting ability rare for big men of his era, he became Duke's all-time leading scorer and earned National Player of the Year honors in 1989. Danny Ferry's 13-year NBA career might not have included multiple All-Star appearances or individual awards, but it was a successful career by any reasonable measure.
