Don't miss this hidden gem. Reed's Bay is really the best little beach park located right in Hilo on Banyan Drive. Just a short walk from the Queen Lili'uokalani Gardens and Coconut Island, it's a perfect spot for a picnic or swim. (No lifeguards on duty.) There's nice, grassy areas to relax and quite a bit of wildlife to be seen. Plenty of street parking, restrooms and an outdoor shower available. Hotels, restaurants and take-out food nearby.
