Being Robby's Mom and the (unprofessional) producer of this video, it is very much about him and his performance. However I also hope that this video captures for the viewer the intense sense of community that is the Mystic Chorale. The preparation and performance for the three winter concerts (2010, 11, 12) that Robby has participated in have all been amazing, loving,, supportive experiences, which he will hold as a lifelong standard for group performance. This is the power created by a phenomenal director (thank you Jonathan Singleton), a band of top flight professional musicians and nearly 250 (mostly untrained and all volunteer) voices:i intense joy . . . regardless of creed.. . . and an experience of acceptance and healing that reaches out into the audience.
