This webinar series dental is designed to keep the target audience abreast of current practice and to foster cohesion at this time of social isolation amongst the dental community. The series is hosted by Healing Hands Health Society, https://hhands.org/dental-training/ Facilitator : Dr Uvoh Onoriobe Dr. Jessica Latimer is currently a Periodontology resident and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) candidate in Oral Biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Latimer is a graduate of the University of Washington (UW) where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology (2014) and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (2020). She is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and has received competitive national awards from the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Dental Association Foundation, and American Dental Education Association. In 2020, Dr. Latimer was awarded the Harvard Division of Periodontology Fellowship, as well as the AAP Clinical Impact and Clinical Science awards in the Research Forum Poster Session. She has performed research in numerous areas, such as pediatric oral-systemic health, clinical implant performance and bone pathophysiology in diabetes, risk indicators for peri-implant disease, and dental education. Dr. Latimer is pursuing an academic career in periodontology involving teaching, clinical practice, and translational research. She is also an avid medical illustrator; she enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for periodontology through original, digital drawings on social media as @theperioartist.
