UPDATE (WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2022): Thomas Loden (58) was executed this evening in Mississippi. Official time of death was 6:12 PM local time, following a procedure that began at 6:01 PM. With his last words he had said: “I’d like a brief moment to express to the Gray family and anyone else I hurt how deeply remorseful I am for everything I did. I know these are mere words and cannot erase the damage I did. For the last 20 years I’ve tried to do a good deed every single day to make up for the [**life that I took from this world**]. (It appears Loden misspoke that last part, using wording that was somewhat incoherent. It was replaced by most media sources with what is believed he intended to say).
