After a long time I'm finally back with a new art related video. It was kind of a struggle to get this video finished. Mostly because of the way I wanted to make it at first. But it's here now! And hopefully I'll be able to come back more regularly in the future (if my health allows it). A few months ago, maybe almost a year now, I got a comment requesting a video on how to create a gag comic. So here are the basics of creating a gag comic! If there are still any questions left, or something is unclear, feel free to leave a comment down below and I'm sure to try and answer your questions! Of course, before you start with the gag comic, you need to work through your concepts, worldbuilding and character designs. But that is more a "How to create a concept" video. If you're also interested in creating concepts, I can make a video about that in the future as well. Let me know down below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [SOURCES] Programs used: Clip Studio Paint and Word Microsoft Office Link Comic size inches: http://rodmckie.blogspot.com/2008/02/... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [UPDATE] I switched permanently to Clip Studio Paint due to issues with Photoshop after updates. It works worse than the free program Krita now... Even the brushes tend to be irresponsive. I tried out several programs and Clip Studio Paint felt like the best option. It also has no subscribtion service which feels really good. You purchase the program once and you don't have to worry about your money (unlike Adobe). I don't know every nook and cranny from this program but it's getting better every time I use it. :) With health it's still a struggle. I'm doing the best I can and try to pick up the things I love doing. Some things go better than others. I try to draw daily again, starting with small little illustrations/commissions to not overexert myself. No deadlines or obligations. I also try to pick up streaming. mostly game related but sometimes art as well! you can check this out at: Twitch: / superzheik Insta: / ezeeart Now that the shameless plugs are out of the way, hope you enjoyed watching this video. Glad to be back(-ish) :) and hope to see you next time!
