These are the Lone Star Playing Cards from the Land of Texas. The latest release from Pure Imagination Projects, the company behind the Cherry Casino decks among others. Designed by Jonathan Schubert of Schubert Studios, the Lone Star deck comes packaged in a embossed raw card stock tuck case with raised leather-like texture. Opening the box reveals a colorful pinwheel card back design with alternating swooping waves of blue, red, white and beige originating from a center star within a circle. The card backs are one-way not only due to the orientation of the five pointed star but also as a result of the varying widths and colorations of the waves on the back.
