How can we educate more effectively? | Komil Jalilov | TEDxTSUL

Through deep analysis, research insights, and innovative ideas, Komil Jalilov explores the reasons behind our educational system and how they can be reimagined to better serve individuals and communities. The talk highlights the importance of fostering critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence in learners, preparing them not just for careers, but for life. Komil Djalilov is an educator with more twenty years of experience in teaching, curriculum development and writing learning materials. He is a graduate of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Westminster University in Tashkent. As a Fullbright scholar, he spent a year teaching Uzbek and studying Educational Psychology at Columbia University in New York. Later, as a Chevening scholar, he did his Master's degree in University College London, world top university in the field of education. Komil Djalilov was involved in several large-scale national projects like National Assessment System of Foreign Language Proficiency and National Curriculum Framework. Currently, he is doing research on effects of assessment on teaching and learning.
