The Triple stone pagoda is made of huge granite with a height of about 7.5 m, and is the largest and oldest stone pagoda in Japan and is designated as an important cultural property. According to one theory, it was built in the latter half of the 7th century. After that, Ishidoji Temple gained faith as a temple of Ishidoji, and it is said that tens of thousands of stone Buddhas and stone pagoda were enshrined around the Triple stone pagoda by neighboring villagers. During the Kamakura period, the temple was extremely prosperous, and after that, like Hyakusaiji, Oda Nobunaga burned down most of the temple, and it was partially reconstructed during the Edo period to the present day.
