Travel back in time to 1978 and join Daniel F. Herrmann, Ardalan Curator for Modern and Contemporary Projects at the National Gallery, inside a digital recreation of Richard Hamilton's exhibition ‘The Artist’s Eye’. Joining Daniel are Kevin Lotery, Associate Professor at Boston College and Isaac Nugent, art historian and researched across the [re]curated series to retell the story behind the exhibition and its paintings. Together they try to answer questions such as, why was there an ironing board in the exhibition? Could you actually sit on those chairs? And who won Wimbledon in 1978? Part of [Re]curated, a series of virtual exhibition recreations and films from the National Gallery that explore how digital tools can help us unveil exhibitions from the past, for both research and enjoyment. This film was made in collaboration with Mind The Film. #NationalGallery #ArtHistory #RichardHamilton 🎞 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and never miss a video: http://bit.ly/1HrNTFd Follow us on social media! ⭐️ Instagram: / nationalgallery ⭐️ TikTok: / nationalgallerylondon ⭐️ Facebook: / thenationalgallery ⭐️ Threads: https://www.threads.net/@nationalgallery ⭐️ X, formerly Twitter: / nationalgallery Help keep the museum accessible for everyone by supporting us here: https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/su...
