Aditya “A.K.” Kaza, Director of the Neonatal Cardiac Surgery Program, felt drawn to congenital heart surgery as a surgical resident. He was excited by the technical challenge as well as the opportunity to provide comprehensive, supportive care to patients and families during a difficult time. Working with experts in cardiac imaging, Kaza carefully assesses each patient’s unique anatomy and creates a specialized treatment plan tailored to his or her needs. In today’s globalized society, more and more patients are traveling far from home to seek care at Boston Children’s, and Kaza notes that the Heart Center is committed to making everyone feel as comfortable as possible while delivering the highest quality care.
