Today I’m giving my 5.3 LS engine the deepest clean of its life — starting at the car wash and finishing in a shed with real elbow grease. This thing was absolutely FILTHY, covered in grime, carbon, grease, and years of neglect. In this video I: • Load the 5.3 LS into the truck bed • Pressure wash it at the local car wash • Scrub, degrease, and clean every surface • Break down the block, heads, and valley • Compare different cleaners • Prep it for the full rebuild series This is the start of my full LS build series, where I take this rough 5.3 and turn it into something worth putting back on the road (or track).
