However, a shocking case has emerged that challenges this belief—a mother took the life of her own son simply because he objected to her lifestyle choices. The incident took place in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. Anupam Jain, a bank auditor, lived with his wife Alka and their only son, 15-year-old Abhyuday. Frequent arguments occurred between the mother and son due to her fashion choices. On February 14, during a heated argument, Alka Jain pulled the chain around her son’s neck, leading to his death. She then attempted to stage it as a suicide. Initially, the case seemed like a suicide, but the post-mortem revealed strangulation. Anupam Jain was away for work, and Alka claimed she returned home to find the door locked. After breaking in, she found Abhyuday unresponsive in the bathroom. However, police investigations, CCTV footage, call records, and gathered evidence pointed to Alka as the murderer. She was arrested and sent to jail.
