Just 1.5 hours from Sydney, this long stretch of bright white sand and turquoise sea is a clothes-free paradise. Head to the northern end near the rocks for the most relaxed crowd. There are rock pools for cooling off and an $8 parking fee for your car. Worth every cent. Samurai Beach (Stockton Bight) Yes, you can drive your 4x4 right onto this nude beach! Samurai is one of the few clothing-optional beaches in the world that allows vehicles. There’s even a beachfront campground if you want to wake up with your toes (and everything else) in the sand. North Smoky Beach (Hat Head National Park) Hidden below a lighthouse, this massive golden beach is as wild as it gets. A 30-minute scenic walk brings you to calm rock pools and total privacy which is ideal for anyone who loves a quiet skinny dip far from the crowds. Little Diggers Beach (Coffs Harbour) This one’s tricky to find but worth the adventure. A short forest trail leads to a secluded cove protected by high cliffs. The wind stays away, the sun stays strong, and you’ll almost always find everyone enjoying it clothes-free. Bring water and shade! Kings Beach (Byron Bay) Welcome to the most famous nude beach in New South Wales! Loved by locals, tourists, and the LGBTQ+ community, Kings Beach near Byron Bay is buzzing with friendly vibes, soft sand, and perfect surf. Parking’s limited, so come early or walk from nearby Broken Head Beach. Tyagarah Beach (near Byron Bay) Once an icon of the Australian nude beach scene, Tyagarah is sadly at risk of losing its clothing-optional status. When we filmed, it was as stunning as ever with endless blue skies, soft sand, and total freedom.
