Lofi trap / memphis phonk / chopped and screwed visual mixtape | Live vapor trap cut TRAPPIN IN JAPAN : Underground vol. 2 | The Lost Tapes | 2020 special edition mix/edit/fx : Ryan Celsius --Concept: The Lost Tapes / Underground Trappin in Japan mixes will be short tapes highlighting underground phonk, vaportrap, lofi hip hop, vaporwave and experimental bass artists. The visual aesthetic is a throwback to my childhood of watching bootleg anime VHS tapes and sneaking to watch scrambled Pay-per view channels. --How It's Made: This mix was created using a Playstation 3, Gator Gear 2 modified Archer Super Video Processor, DR-880, and a Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller. I spent many years professionally testing and sometimes breaking analog video hardware. I have a long time appreciation for distortion and video synthesis and I have finally been able to create a setup that can allow me to create video and audio mixes for live shows in a way that can be performed as opposed to just playing a pre-made set with some minor audio tweaks and mixing(most dj sets). This is an example of the resulting video of a series of short live sessions I will be doing until I perfect this craft.
