By the temple of the Goddess whom I served, my sisters found me but had Athena, my dearest Goddess, my friend, punished me for I had broken the rule of virginity in her temple. How would she like to have to make Poseidon pay for it? What the men saw as the highest punishment to protect me. Athena took away my beauty and replaced my hair with snakes. They petrified anyone who even dared to look at me so I didn't have to worry about being raped again for the rest of my life.
