This week in Accra was full. Powerful, social, creative, and very real 🇬🇭 I attended the Diaspora Summit, where the Diaspora was officially sworn in as the 17th Region of Ghana, and we heard directly from the President. It was a historic, emotional moment that really put into perspective what it means to build, belong, and return. Outside of that, life kept moving. I had a girls’ night with my friend Mia, who’s visiting from Houston, Texas, squeezed in a date night with my husband despite this being his busiest season, and enjoyed some beautiful moments of balance. You’ll also see me stop at Selina Beb’s designer boutique, attend an art exhibit, and unexpectedly receive a VIP insider tour of one of Ghana’s newest creative studios! A moment that reminded me why the creative energy in Accra is unmatched right now. As always, there are plenty of moments where we talk, reflect, laugh, and just chop it up.
