About the Song: A climate change anthem about the perils of Mankind ignoring the warnings of Mother Earth (Gaia). Absolutely amazing harmonica by Donovan on this – he actually did a duet with my vocal with his harps. It was a really great thrill to have him on this record. Since this is a siren song about such a serious urgent issue, I had many of the album guests sing on the last verse ‘like a choir’; the angel singing in the choir is the late great Audrey Auld while Zoe Muth weighed in with a fantastic harmony vocal during the regular verses. Harp Break Verse 3 I went to the forest, and sang to the trees, they wept and talked back to me. “listen to the Wind well, a story he will tell, about the sorry state of the seas”. Verse 4 I looked to the sky Mr. Wind was, howling strong, he told me how we got it all wrong. “Go to the mountains, dance and drink from their fountains And you’ll hear the Gaia spirit song". Harp Break Bridge (with choir) I looked within, then without, Found Gaia’s spirit, floating about. “Tell Man for what it’s worth, to honor Mother Earth Somehow you gotta, figure it out.” Outro
