Filmed consecutively alongside the first film, Superman II wasn't just an afterthought of a sequel, but a continuation of the epic story which was setup in the opening minutes of film number one. Raising the stakes for Supes, this time he's faced with three Kryptonian criminals who have escaped their floating square prison known as the Phantom Zone, which Jor-El had sentenced them into. You think they might be a little ticked off? Meanwhile Supes and Lois' relationship takes a giant leap forward and he's ready to give up all his awesome powers for her and live life as a human being! This definitely could complicate things..... After having filmed approximately 75% of the film during the mammoth production director Richard Donner was fired and replaced by Richard Lester to finish the sequel up. Finally in 2006 Donner got a chance to re-edit his version of the film incorporating footage that had never been used and telling the story in a way it had originally been planned. Fans would finally get to see Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. This review was edited down from a much longer length. I hadn't planned on doing any trimming, but apparently Youtube took away my unlimited time limit option. Which came as a complete surprise to me. I wish they would make up their minds. So I cut this chapter down into two fifteen minute segments. From Lois' article Miss Teschmacher reads - "It's too good to be true! He's 6'4, has black hair, blue eyes, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke and tells the truth." Did Lois forget to add a disclaimer to his drinking habits perhaps.....? #superman
