Built in 1859 in the Greek Revival style, this historic building houses both chambers of the Vermont General Assembly and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside, we explore displays on Vermont’s history, including indigenous peoples, women in politics, and the Civil War, along with portraits and notable artifacts. Highlights include the oldest legislative chamber in its original condition, the Cedar Creek Room, and one of the nation’s smallest Senate chambers.
