Jude: No, you know what, Guy runs a very, very happy set, and he was smart enough and brave enough to let us run with this relationship and play and he would knew when to bring us in and when to let us go. And there was a very strong unity of light minds and... Robert: And trust. Jude: Trust. Robert: Because we've... Jude: Work ethic. Robert: We'd be working on scenes at lunch time. I mean usually in Hollywood, you know, they say "lunch one hour" and everybody disappears or they go to the gym or they are on this and that, but sometimes we chill out, we spend a lot of days off, we spend a lot of lunch times, working and re-working and discussing and re-discussing things to, to the point where we would basically eliminated all possibilities except for the best one for us that day. Interviewer: The funniest part of the shooting? Robert: It would just depend on how accelerated we were, if we watch something back, how tired we were. There was our carriage scene, I think it was kinda of a bit of an ice breaker. Jude: That was a fun day. I think another fun day was, or at least. My children were there that day and they were at by the stairs (?) and they won't stop making this noise he makes when he jumps out of the window. That's now my son's "UAHHHH!". That's my son's favorite noise. But that was a good day. Interviewer: How is the relationship between your characters? Robert: It's a brotherhood. Interviewer: Brothers? Jude: Two halves of the same whole, it's something that I keep coming back to. Robert: They are a team. Jude: And it was important and incredibly fulfilling for me to put Watson back on the map, because, you know, making Watson smart, making Watson a loyal and reliable and worthy partner made Holmes all the more brilliant. You know, he doesn't suffer fools, why would he hang out with a fool. And, um, that kind of duality, I think it was, and then this part, this humorous / domestic relationship. Were you see them bickering over shoes and who is cleaner than the other, and who's paid the rent, can they pay the rent and more of that stuff. Interviewer: How is it promoting the film? Jude: You talked me about this yesterday. Robert: Yeah I did. Jude: You never get to see as much of the world on the world tour as you want. And then we keep thinking, Robert came up with the great idea "There must be another way of doing this, so you can get out and see this wonderful cities you are in." Robert: We are thinking about, because you know, we stay in hotels that the studio pays for that most people can't afford, we go to restaurants that if we weren't in the industry we wouldn't be getting a table at, and now we are supposed to come and talk to the people in the country we are promoting a product to you like we understand them, they understand us, and would it be nice if they came and saw our movie so. And Jude has the same sensibility we're, if we come back, and if we do a Sherlock 2 and come back we are going to do something a lot more engaging press wise, because we want to learn about markets in the countries, we want to enjoy ourselves and enjoying ourselves means becoming a little more Spanish in Spain, probably. Jude: Indeed. Fonte (20MINUTOS.ES)
