The team are described as "the glamour boys of soccer". Several shots of handsome footballer / cricketer Denis Compton ("in his winter role") and other players kicking a ball around on the pitch. The team's manager (probably Tom Whittaker) and trainer Billy Milne watch. George Swindon is seen in goal. Four players run down and up the steps of Highbury Stadium. Compton is seen lying on a bench as Billy Milne gives him some "short wave diathermy' treatment. Player Noel Kelly hits a punchball. Alec Forbes uses a rowing machine, George Swindon uses an exercise bike. Ian MacPherson uses an arm stretching machine. Several players, including Compton, are seen in the communal bath. One of the men gets up and Billy passes him a towel to cover his modesty. Four players are seen in towels and goggles, catching rays in the artificial sun room. Various shots of Dan Cripps repairing the players' football boots, hammering nails into the sole. Player Don Roper is handed his boots. C/Us of boots show each one has the initials of the player picked out in nails on the sole. Boots of Don Roper, Reg Lewis and Jimmy Logie are seen. Note: alternative spelling - Alex Forbes.
