4-month review of the Blade Lights. NUMBERS DON'T LIE!

After receiving some of the first new Blade lights from Ecotech, we wanted to test them in one of our tanks and compare them with the Ecotech Radions we already used. The first thing that stood out was how the light enhanced the blue spectrum we saw from the Radions. When looking at the spectrum, we were not surprised to see how it was primarily focused on the sweet spot of the blue/violet spectrum. These bulbs also produced an excellent PAR level at around 170 PAR halfway down in the tank. We also look at how these lights not only bring out the colors in some sps corals and how we were able to reduce the amount of blue coming from our Radion G6s because of their focus on the blue spectrum. We also show how these lights would be adequate if used alone for lighting an lps dominated tank.
