Zebra Wood Into A Feather- Woodworking ASMR

These bandsaw keepsake boxes seemed like a fun challenge, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Using a combination of curly maple, zebrawood, and wenge, I was able to create a feather-like grain pattern. I really love the stark contrast between the dark and light woods in this piece. When it came to the shape, I know most people go for a leaf design (which I did try as well). But come on—this is burl and feather! We had to do something a little different. All jokes aside, these little boxes are a blast to make and make great gifts. I highly recommend giving it a try.
