Dr. Zeeshan Khan works as a full time consultant orthopedic surgeon at Rehman Medical Institute, Peshawar, Pakistan (www.rmi.edu.pk) and as a visiting consultant orthopedic surgeon at AO clinic, Karachi, Pakistan (www.aoclinic.com.pk). He is also employed as an assistant professor of Orthopaedics surgery at Rehman Medical College, Peshawar. Zeeshan went to Saint Mary’s High school Peshawar for his schooling and then to Khyber medical College, Peshawar, for his primary medical degree. He was awarded academic talent scholarship by the University of Peshawar. After graduation, he then undertook houseman ship at Khyber teaching hospital, Peshawar in General Surgery, general medicine and Intensive care. He then left for UK for further training where he initially undertook foundation training in South Yorkshire & Humber deanery and then his basic surgical training in the West midlands deanery and also passed his MRCS exam from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He was also awarded the MRCPS degree from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. He then underwent higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics Surgery in the East Midlands region where he was trained in all aspects and subspecialties of trauma & Orthopaedics surgery. During his training he developed a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery (keyhole surgery), arthroplasty (joint replacements) and Oncology (tumors). During his training he passed his intercollegiate FRCS exam in trauma & orthopaedics and was awarded the FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedics degree by Royal College of surgeons in Edinburgh. To further hone his skills and knowledge, he undertook advanced training (Fellowship) in Orthopaedic Oncology, Adult reconstruction and arthroplasty at the world renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham (www.roh.nhs.uk). After completion of his training, he returned to Pakistan in January 2016 and has been working at RMI, Peshawar since.
