DDUGU is a recognized State University offering full-time research opportunities across Arts, Science, Commerce, Education and interdisciplinary fields. The online application process has started and candidates must carefully complete the registration before the last date, 25th March 2026. The PhD programme duration is minimum three years including compulsory coursework and research work, with maximum duration as per university PhD regulations. After entrance examination qualification, shortlisted candidates will be invited for counselling, document verification and supervisor allocation before final admission confirmation. Available PhD subjects include Education, Economics, Commerce, Management, Computer Science, English, Hindi, Psychology, Political Science, Geography, History, Sanskrit, Urdu, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Electronics, Statistics and several other disciplines offered by university departments. Subject wise vacancies or seats are announced department wise by the university and candidates must select the subject carefully during application submission. Regarding application fee, General and OBC category candidates are required to pay approximately fifteen hundred rupees while SC and ST category candidates need to pay around one thousand rupees as application processing fee, as mentioned in the admission information. Candidates must ensure successful payment confirmation before final submission. The selection process includes PhD Entrance Test followed by merit list preparation, counselling and verification of original documents. After successful verification and fee payment, admission will be finalized and candidates will begin coursework phase before starting research work under an approved supervisor.
