This one was one for the record books! Moe and Chris hit us up back in December of 2023 to build them a goliath barn to store all of their toys and have a place to park their Rv's and trailers. We flew right out there to show them the options, take measurements, and do all the dirty work it takes to make a metal building dream happen. And well.... Here we are. Installed and delivered at 60x150x20 and looking the part of a rockstar. All black everything puts the final touch on this awesome garage. A 10,000-square-foot metal building offers a lot of flexibility for storage, depending on the building's layout, height, and any specific environmental controls it may have. Here's a broad list of what you could store in such a space: 1. Industrial Equipment & Machinery Construction Equipment: Excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, forklifts, etc. Manufacturing Equipment: CNC machines, lathes, presses, industrial ovens, etc. Warehouse Equipment: Pallet jacks, conveyor systems, storage racks. 2. Inventory/Stock Retail Inventory: Bulk stock for retail businesses—furniture, electronics, clothing, etc. Wholesale Goods: Large quantities of goods for distribution. Parts and Supplies: Automotive parts, HVAC components, or spare parts for industrial use. 3. Vehicles Fleet Storage: Cars, trucks, delivery vans, or service vehicles. Heavy Machinery: Tractors, trailers, RVs, or construction vehicles. Boats and Trailers: If the building has a tall enough ceiling, boats and large trailers can be stored. 4. Agricultural Products or Equipment Grain or Feed: If climate control isn’t a priority, large quantities of feed, grain, or produce. Farm Equipment: Tractors, plows, seeders, harvesters. Livestock-related Equipment: Fencing, water tanks, tools for farm operations. 5. Building Materials Lumber, Drywall, and Insulation: For construction businesses. Tiles, Paints, and Flooring: Supplies for renovation or contracting businesses. Concrete, Gravel, or Aggregates: Bulk materials for construction or landscaping businesses. 6. Furniture & Appliances Office Furniture: Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, etc. Home Furniture: Sofas, beds, tables, etc. Large Appliances: Refrigerators, washing machines, stoves, etc. 7. Seasonal Storage Holiday Decorations: Large quantities of decorations for events like Christmas or Halloween. Seasonal Inventory: Outdoor furniture, Christmas trees, etc. 8. Commercial Storage File and Document Storage: If climate control is not a concern, documents, archives, and records can be stored in bulk. Retail Fixtures: Shelving units, mannequins, displays, etc. Event Equipment: Chairs, tables, tents, and staging equipment. 9. Personal Storage (Mini Storage Facility) Household Items: Personal storage for people who need space for extra furniture, memorabilia, etc. Motorcycles, Bicycles, and Other Smaller Vehicles. 10. Climate-Sensitive Storage Wine or Spirits: Temperature and humidity-controlled space can allow for long-term wine storage. Art or Collectibles: Items requiring specialized climate conditions. Pharmaceuticals or Chemicals: For businesses requiring safe, regulated storage. 11. Outdoor Equipment Camping Gear: Tents, backpacks, kayaks, etc. Outdoor Furniture and Equipment: Lawn mowers, patio sets, outdoor décor. Sports Equipment: Bicycles, skis, surfboards, etc. 12. Technology Equipment IT Infrastructure: Servers, backup systems, computer parts. Large-Scale Electronics: TVs, speakers, computer monitors. 13. Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and Trailers If the building has high ceilings, it could be used to store large recreational vehicles like RVs, motorhomes, or trailers. Key Considerations: Access: Consider door sizes and ceiling heights for easy access, especially for large or heavy items. Environmental Controls: If sensitive goods are stored, you may need temperature or humidity control. Safety and Security: If you're storing high-value items or hazardous materials, you'll need to plan for security measures (e.g., alarms, cameras) and proper safety measures (e.g., fire suppression systems). Would you be storing items for personal use, a business, or another purpose? Knowing this can help further refine what would be ideal to store.
