In this video you will learn to make a Filigree teardrop design the easy way using the Filigree Filler Wire Design Jig. I tell you the tools needed to accomplish the design. Filigree filler wire is usually .999 fine silver, although some make the filler wire with sterling silver. The teardrop design is traditionally made by making a circular roll tightly curled to the needed size. It is then allowed to loosen enough to shape the wire to the desired length and width of the teardrop or pear shape. This method takes years of practice to perfect. With this jig, you can accomplish the same effect in a short time. You will also see different styles of the teardrop and ideas showing how to use them.
