Marissa is here to defy the stereotypes you might think of when you picture an accountant. Far from an up-tight, pocket-protector wearing, calculator-wielding nerd, this former Cyclone cheerleader breaks the mold; making connections, solving puzzles, and building relationships. She does have a nerdy side though, and she’s not ashamed of it – she uses it to her advantage. Where some folks see boring numbers, Marissa sees the big picture, guiding each project from the first piece to the final result. Red and gold through and through, Marissa is raising a tiny Cyclone fan at home – even though her husband, a USC Trojan fan, might be trying to sway their son to the dark side. And although her cheerleading days are behind her, you can still see her and her family cheering on their team from the sidelines. She’s living proof that the people behind the spreadsheets are real people, with real passion, making a real impact.
