We bought a car in Portugal; Pico Island Azores. On this video Laura & I share with you our own experience of buying a car in Portugal. Top 4 hings you must have in order to purchase a car in Portugal are: 1 - You must have a local address; either yours or whoever sponsors you. 2 - A fiscal tax number - known as a NIF# - You can't make a major purchase without it. You also need it to open a bank account. 3 - Identification: Passport, License etc. 4 - Method of payment There are various auto dealerships throughout Pico Island; we used Renault. They were extremely professional and treated us with a very high quality of service. Renault took care of everything including; inspection, insurance and much more. They even fixed a couple of additional minor things like the mirror and a new radio. We have had our car now for 5 weeks and we are extremely happy with it.
