with punch needle, having the right combination of tools and materials is essential. mass-produced punch needle kits can be hit or miss in terms of this—either because they don't care to learn about what works for this craft or they simply do not know the correct tools and materials. in this video, i try out this kikkerland punch needle kit (that i bought with my own money) and share some of my thoughts. in many ways, this kit is better than the michaels and amazon kits that i tried out previously, but it lacks in other ways. my biggest takeaway is that if you're new to punch needle and don't want to spend too much money on supplies before you know whether you like it or not, this is a decent kit to get a feel for the craft BUT make sure to purchase a plastic no-slip hoop along with it!
