Possibly the last Rally episode before the end of the year. We'll see how if I'm up to it. 0:00 Door 2 Darkness Dark had very little to show for in the beginning (what with just Karen and Nanu) and slowly got pairs added over time. It became a real type so to say when Masked Royal and Sidney were added, giving most players a good Dark tech nuker of their choice once scouted. The release of NC Marnie put Dark into the spotlight for a while, it's a good type but also been a bit off-kilter with the best teams outside Marnie herself. There's never been one "definitive" Dark team imo and there's stronger cores. 0:20 Strike + Field The seed here is a 50/50 between having another Area with this combination. Played it safe and used all three here, including Akari who is more or less the star of this episode so to say. She's practically built for the mode with Sync Burst 1 at 3/5 and her instant set-up passives. Why didn't I play offence SC Selene though like why didn't I do that. 2:00 Strike + Tech I got the fun seed with 9/10 Strike stages so Akari gets to stay around for a long time. Back to back Olivia is funny too since there's like 140+ possible stages you can land, low odds. Demolished by Rose's Ground coverage, he casually hits as hard or even harder then Maxie, it's messed up. Great outcome overall. 3:20 Strike + Sprint The stage from Ball Guy's event, like in the middle of the annoying Battle Challenge spectrum. It requires status and this combination isn't great for status condition. Genuine best answer which let me nab a 2.0x bonus and another Dark boost? Karen. Flinch and Poison, it worked alright. 5:00 Field + Support The evil stage from Zerena's event. Have to waterboard Rika here so it was also time to use my free SS Cyrus pass, he contributes extra Dark Zone since Akari doesn't get proper extension and sleep-spams the stage while Akari brings it down gradually. 7:20 Strike + Field 2 An easy stage, still absuing SS Cyrus and Akari's pesudo synergy, this team generates a good amount of gauge so I felt like running Bea just to get it done quicker and the alternatives were weaker strikers, Rei saved for later or slow af Buzzma. 9:30 Strike + Tech 2 EX Roll'd SS Hau the week before this was recorded I think, great choice looking at this stage's weakness. Tech + Strike for my account has been a long time coming when I've been running the cringe Strike + Tech team you would've seen by now. SS Hau contributes Speed increases and drops(!), a decent nuke and gimmicky Fairy Wish TM Head Start 1 Sync Countdown for future teams. He had great synergy with both Akari and SS Lysandre here. 11:50 Tech + Sprint Woohoo lucky area! Been a while I think since I got one on record. Cashing the hell out now with Triple EX Role boosts which I would've previously been gated to the full cashout prior to Fall Shauntal's addition to the game. 12:34 Strike + Support Late enough into Rally where using NC Blue outside of the Ultimate Battle is feasible. Area 10 is also this combination so keeping Blue in healthy condition was important, could've done that task a bit better. NC Blue is literally shivering in front of an Ice stage, SS Gladion really tries his best here in terms of damage and Rei has to flinch an abusrd amount. In the end, I cheated (got incredibly lucky and had a Guard Chocolat waiting for me in the shop). After getting a Lucky Area, you might as well spend medals on to make your life easier here. Still took a while and was still a close call, Sync damage doesn't play fair. 21:30 Strike + Support 2 Darach again, why does this keep happening. The choices for a WTZ setter were are a bit small, SS Acerola gets mogged, Ingo isn't really tanky and weather lacks extension which I would like, kind of the same with SS Kris. SS Mina it was. Brought out the super mega laser canon that is NC Marnie, she's been waiting for this, the only Striker who could do it... besides an invested Giacomo which I don't have. A war of attrition, Mina does meet Darach's clear criteria comfortably but does also cause the battle to last forever without a Fairy or Water DPS around.
