The return leg of this 30-minute round trip. Sun's dropping over Sydney Harbour. Took a slightly longer route as the light was fading and I was running without navigation lights. So I headed towards the headland to get me out of the traffic as quickly as possible then followed the shore to Rose Bay Beach. Map and activity tracker:   / strava   Rose Bay Beach is calm, shallow, and easily accessible by foot from New South Head Road. It's also dog-friendly, which is a bonus. You need to keep an eye open for ferries heading out from Rose Bay Wharf and Seaplanes taking off and landing. And there's usually a luxury charter yacht or two floating around the area. Also note that landing at Shark Island is permitted. But it's part of Sydney Harbour National Park, so you'll need to pay a landing fee - which is about $AU7 at time of writing.
