Thinking about a career in medical imaging? UC San Diego Health is proud to host the diagnostic medical sonography program, a CAAHEP-accredited, 14-month certificate program in general sonography. Established in 1975, our program blends classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience in abdomen, OB/GYN, and limited vascular ultrasound. Leading the charge is Aman Khurana, MD, radiologist at UC San Diego Health and associate professor of radiology at UC San Diego. With deep expertise in contrast‑enhanced ultrasound and a passion for mentorship, Dr. Khurana inspires students to deliver top-notch imaging and compassionate care.
