Who is Wardha Shabbir? Wardha Shabbir is a Lahore-based visual artist and contemporary miniaturist, born in 1987. A graduate of the National College of Arts (NCA) with distinction, she is known for transforming the traditional miniature style into a contemporary visual language. Her work often explores nature, memory, identity, and resilience, using foliage and intricate patterns to create symbolic journeys. She has exhibited internationally in London, Madrid, Dubai, and Karachi, and her artworks are housed in major collections, including the British Museum (UK), Kiran Nadar Museum (India), and QAGOMA (Australia). Wardha has also been a finalist for prestigious awards like the Jameel Prize (V&A, London) and the Sovereign Asian Art Prize.
