Mr. Cawley claims to love and respect TOS, yet he starts changing it around to suit his whims the first chance he gets. Thanks, but no thanks.""]] I just tried to reply, but it wouldn't take it ((""Comment failed to post."" LOL!!)) - not sure if it was the links in my reply - or, if, instead, one of the Klingon-language words in my response was deemed a cussword in the GMail/Google/YouTube filers, so here's the short answer, and I'll try to follow up with a more-detailed answer: Our race (I'm part Klingon) got infected by a virus, and some of our people lost their ridges, as it affected the genetics of those infected, and it was inherited by their children. etc. - OK, let me see if this thing will let me post a more-detailed answer... Our race (I'm part Klingon) had a virus that infected us, and some of us are not ridged, as the saying goes. The Klingon augment virus was a modified form of Levodian flu that threatened to wipe out the Klingon race in the mid-22nd century. It was inadvertently created by Klingon researchers who were attempting to bio-engineer enhanced warriors using DNA from genetically-modified Human embryos left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars. The "Augments" (e.g., several Augment embryos which we from a hijacked Bird-of-Prey destroyed in orbit of Qu'Vat colony ), which we created, did indeed develop enhanced strength and intelligence, but they also began to show Human characteristics, from the blatant to the subtle. These included personality alterations and loss of the characteristic forehead ridges.
